Guys,

I really need prayer! I had a stint put in a month ago to correct an 80 % blockage in the Lateral Descending Artery (AKA "The Widow-maker"). I had problems in Cardiac rehab last week & was sent to the ER. In short, they discovered that I have multiple gall stones as well as Pancreatitis. I have been on a liquid diet since Wednesday getting my liver enzymes back close to normal. Bilurubin is supposed to be rated as 1; mine was almost 5 times that. Amylase is supposed to be lower than 120; mine was 8800.

I am supposed to have surgery to remove my gall bladder Tuesday because to wait could very possibly pput me back here is much worse condition. The thing that is so troubling about this is that after a stint, they prefer for you to wait an entire year before having any surgery. Having this within a month is very upsetting to us all. Please pray that we can
     1) Decide the best place to have this done
     2) That where ever we do it that the Drs will be guided in their efforts.

Thank you guys.

After my dad died in April, this is just a bit scary for me!

Tsunami, I went through some pretty scary times back a few years ago as well as last year with blood clots as well as complications from some surgery. I was scared and things looked pretty negative. I can remember being afraid to fall asleep because I was afraid I might not wake up...

Now it all seems like a bad dream to me now and I am doing just fine.

They are doing some wonderful these days in medicine so keep your chin up.

My Father in law had some issues with Pancreatitis and finally found a doctor in Birmingham that was really great. His name was Dr. J. Cotton Shallcross.

He really trusts him completely.

We have you in our prayers...

Done and I will continue to pray for you. Is there someone that can keep us advised of your progress after surgery?

Surgery is tomorrow (Tues) @ 7:00 AM. I will try to show my wife how to post to this thread.
She does not use message boards. Wish me luck.

I am home now! On a "Low Residue Diet" for a while (whatever that is) Still really sore @ the incision in my naval. Probably take another week to get close to normal again. Thanks for your prayers & please continue.
