I apologize in advance for any spelling and/or Grammar errors.

QB
A.J. McCarron - Mobile, AL.  BAMA COMMIT

We will sign one recruit at QB and it will be AJ McCarron.  We set our sights on him early and we nor he ever wavered.  He is said to be a bigger, stronger, and slightly faster Brodie Croyle.

RB
Trent Richardson - Pensacola, FL. BAMA COMMIT
Eddie Lacy - Geismar, LA

RB has 2 studs lined up for signing day.  Richardson committed to BAMA early on and he will stay with BAMA throughout.  He is considered on of the top 5 RB's in the Nation.  Urban Meyer tried everything he could legally try to get Trent but the young man never wavered.

Eddie Lacy a RB out of LA will probably start his career at JUCO or Hargrave but this 4 star RB could be the steal of the class if he can somehow get qualified.

WR
Michael Bowman - Rossville, Ga. BAMA COMMIT
Kevin Norwood - Biloxi, MS.  BAMA COMMIT
Kenny Bell - Rayville, LA.
Kendall Kelly - Gadsden, AL.
Reuben Randle - Bastrop, LA.

The WR spot has been a very heated position during this years recruiting season.  BAMA has 2 very solid commits from M Bowman and K Norwood.  Both of those guys are very good and should provide immediate competition for playing time.

Kenny Bell has been committed to LSU for a while but I predict he will be a signing day surprise.  Our staff never gave up on the kid and he will provide a much needed speed guy at the slot.

K Kelly out of Gadsden Alabama has been very quiet during the recruiting season.  Everything was smooth until a former BAMA assistant started spreading lies to this much wanted recruit.  Everything has been smoothed out from what I have heard and he is BAMA bound.

That leaves the Nation's #1 player in Reuben Randle.  I am Still getting 50/50 on Randle so don't count us out.  While there is a huge amount of pressure on Randle to stay in state I think he chooses BAMA or Oklahoma.  I feel he could do the same thing Joe McKnight did a few years ago when the pressure was great to stay at home or at least go anywhere but BAMA.  McKnight choose USC and I feel like Randle chooses Oklahoma or BAMA.  With that said he could end up at LSU so I do not feel comfortable enough to call this one.

I have been told the 5 above will be the ONLY WR recruits getting letters thus they are the only WR's that will have an opportunity to sign.

ATH
Mike Marrow - New Albany, OH .  BAMA COMMIT
Tana Patrick - Stevenson, AL.
Marsalis Teague - Paris, TN.
Greg Reid - Valdosta, GA.

3 Of our Commits at least to me fall into the Athlete category.  Teague is your typical Athlete.  He is like Javy, Prothro, and Palmer.  He has unreal speed and could see time at Slot WR, DB, and special Teams.  While it will be a tough pull to keep him from signing with Tennessee I think he signs with BAMA and we get a good'un.

The other 2 Athletes are what I call STUD Athletes.  Tana Patrick and Mike Marrow could play many positions at BAMA.  Marrow who has been committed to BAMA for months could play FB, LB, or grow into the DL.

Tana while he has not been officially committed has been a strong BAMA lean for over 1 year.  In fact I had a family member of his talking to me about them thinking of letting TANA be the 1st Commit to the 2009 class way back in the fall of 2007.  TANA could play LB, FB or TE.

The other Athlete I am going to list is Greg Reid.  I heard that he committed to BAMA on his official but the coaches told him to take a few days and make sure.  They also told him to make sure and discuss it with his family.  I also heard that Terry Saban talked to his Grandma at Reid's request.  With that said I was expecting a commit to BAMA on Tuesday instead he committed to FSU.  What does all this mean?  I have no clue.  I have been told tonight that Reid is still a possibility and that a family member that he does not live with pressured him to sign with FSU last night.  I was told that Grandma was a little ticked and disappointed and that this was not over.  It would not surprise me to see Reid sign with BAMA tomorrow but I am no way saying that he will.  FSU is likely but BAMA is not out of it.

OL
Darius McKeller - Jonesboro, GA.  BAMA COMMIT
Chance Warmack - Atlanta, GA.  BAMA COMMIT
Kellen Williams - Snellville, GA.  BAMA COMMIT
Anthony Steen - Clarksdale, MS.  BAMA COMMIT
James Carpenter - Augusta, GA  BAMA COMMIT
D.J. Fluker - Biloxi, MS.  BAMA COMMIT
Bobby Massie - Hargrave, VA

Alabama should finish with the top O Line class in the Country.  McKeller, Warmack, Williams, and Steen have been committed to BAMA for months and will solidify competition on the interrior of the OLINE.

DJ Fluker considered by many to be the best Tackle in the Country was in fact the 1st recruit BAMA had for this 2009 class.  He committed on the same weekend that we  got Mount Cody back in 2007.

I predict joining Fluker at the other Bookend at Tackle will be Bobbie Massie.  Those that do not think Fluker is the best of the 2009 under classmen Olinemen think Massie is.  He is a complete O Tackle and will provide immediate competition for a starting spot.  Ole Miss made a late push but it looks like BAMA will win out and get Massie to complete a great set of BookEnd Tackles.

Carpenter is in his own right one of the best Olinemen in the country.  Coming out of JUCO most rate him as the best JUCO OTackle.  If he can not beat out Fluker and Massie at Tackle most think he will move inside to command the line at Center.  Great Pick up for the TIDE.

DL
Quinton Dial - Pinson, AL.  BAMA COMMIT
William Ming - Athens, AL.  BAMA COMMIT
Anthony Orr - Harvest, AL.  BAMA COMMIT
Chris Bonds - Columbia, SC.  BAMA COMMIT
Kerry Murphy - Hargrave, VA  BAMA COMMIT
Darrington Sentimore - Destrehan, LA  BAMA COMMIT
Brandon Moore - Montgomery, AL.
Jamontay Pilson - Greenville, AL.

Dial, Ming, Orr, Bonds and Murphy would be a heck of a class in their own right.  Bonds battled injuries his Senior year but should be fully healed by next summer.  Murphy took close to 2 years to make it on campus but will be pushing his way into the lineup starting this spring.  William Ming is rated the best DL by ESPN and could join Lacy as the sleeper of this class.  Dial and Orr will each bring unreal talent and a relentless attitude as they suit up for the Tide next fall.  ALL 5 of these guys are solid stud dlinemen and will wreak havoc on opposing offenses for years while they battle for starting spots, national championships, all american awards, and college degrees.

Add in Darrington Sentimore and Brandon Moore and you should get the best DLINE class in the country.  Sentimore resisted a VERY LATE push by his "Dream School" in LSU and will sign with the tide TODAY.  The kid is a winner and deserves respect for standing up to the State of LA.

Brandon Moore will follow his heart and play for the home state BAMA team.  He came close to inking with Florida but never so close as to committing to them.  Moore is a great DLINE prospect as are his other 6 teammates.

Only the 3rd of 4 guys that I will not project today is J Pilson.   Auburn's highest In State Commit held off on his Official Visit to BAMA this weekend.  He is very close with Coach Willis and most think we can get him him if we want.  I am hearing that he will probably decide to delay his Signing until possibly Thursday so that he can take an Official to BAMA if we have a slot available.

LB
Nico Johnson - Andalusia, AL.  BAMA COMMIT
Petey Smith - Seffner, FL.  BAMA COMMIT
Jonathan Atchison - Atlanta, GA.  BAMA COMMIT
Ed Stinson - Homestead, FL.  BAMA COMMIT

No surprises at LB as Nico Johnson, Petey Smith, Atchison and Stinson all should sign with the TIDE this morning.  Stinson could push for immediate playing time at JACK.  Atchison was stolen from Auburn when They fired Tubberville and Petey Smith followed Coach Willis to BAMA.  Nico might be the fastest LB in the country in the 2009 class and should push for immediate playing time.  All 4 LB's will provide instant competition and could each see significant playing time next fall.

DB
Rod Woodson - Olive Branch, MS.  BAMA COMMIT
Dre Kirkpatrick - Gadsden, AL.
Darren Myles Jr. - Atlanta, GA.

Rod Woodson has been the sole DB commit of this class for a very long time.  Then he was joined by WEST Briefly who decided to try the Southern Miss route with blessings from our coaching staff.  Woodson is a tough DB that can lay the wood.  He is an amateur boxer that loves contact and is an all around a tough son of a gun.  I will right now list him as my Sleeper of this class - if a 4 Star STUD DB can be called a Sleeper.

Dre Kirkpatick is the number one CB in the the 2009 class.  He is a legitimate lockdown corner and should join Alonzo Lawrence in the starting CB rotation this fall.  If he can pick up the defense he could have as big of a splash in 2009 on defense as Julio had on Offense for the tide in 2008.

The last of my 4 guys that I am not projecting is Darren Myles Jr. of Atlanta, GA.  He will probably sign with Tennessee but we have a shot I am told so I am going to list him.  He is a stud Safety and could compete for playing time this fall if he signed with the TIDE.  One thing is certain whoever gets him will be glad they did for the next 4 years.

Summing up this class is easy.  It is loaded with 4 and 5 star studs in every position.  We should have a legitimate shot at the #1 class depending on what the 4 guys do that I do not have projected.  If we get any of those 4 then we should run away with the #1 class again in 2009.  With that said we should end up with a very good top 5 class no matter what and have a very legitimate shot at the #1 class.
